Today we hiked through woods and fields and found the most wonderful Christmas tree of them all! Although the weather was oddly warm, we dove straight into the Christmas season with leftover turkey sandwiches, pie, Christmas music, a Christmas tree, hot cocoa and dad’s cowboy hat. We chopped down our tree up in Smithfield, close to where we used to live, and where my dad grew up. We drove around neighborhoods he used to bike around as a little boy, and along a road named for our ancestors, Evans Street.
Above is a photo of mom and dad at Petersen’s Tree Farm. We will be decorating the tree tomorrow!
