I had two classes in a row this week, which makes my normally busy schedule downright hectic. I finished my Clarendon class on Wednesday and started a new marketing class on Georgetown’s main campus. As a treat, Madison met me after class both nights and we enjoyed late dinners (usually not my style) at two really great restaurants. Wednesday we went to Liberty Tavern and enjoyed some local brews and a Vermont pizza which was decked with Vermont cheese, sliced apples and prosciutto. Mmmmm good!
Last night we tried out Thunder Burger, one of the only places on M Street whose kitchen was still open at 10pm. I’ve walked past there dozens of times but was never in the mood to try another DC burger joint. We were hungry though and decided a burger was just what we needed. I was pleasantly surprised – this place is decorated cool, they played music that reminded me of blasting 95.5 WBRU in my car as a high schooler, and the food was great. The sliders were seasoned perfectly, and the chili cheese fries hit the spot. They have a pretty large beer selection, and I saw on foursquare that people recommended their happy hour so I guess I’ll be going back!
